To learn about the general rules for accessing services and performing diagnostic examinations, please read the following instructions. Alternatively, don't hesitate to contact us for more information.

  • How to access services

The laboratory is open to the public from 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

On Saturdays from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm.

Blood samples, microbiological samples, PAP tests and breath tests are taken daily from 6.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

Blood samples can be taken at home at any time by appointment.

In most cases, exams do not require any special preparation other than simply fasting before drawing blood.

Booking is only necessary for the following examinations:

    Spermiogram

    Non-routine molecular genetic tests

  • How to prepare for blood tests?

To prepare properly for the blood test, it is recommended to fast for at least 8-12 hours and not to smoke in the hours between waking up and taking the blood sample. Only moderate amounts of water (1-2 glasses) are permitted.

In the days leading up to the blood test, one's usual diet should be followed. Excessive food intake or a restrictive diet can distort not only the laboratory results as well as the clinical considerations derived from them.

It is necessary to avoid physical activity in the 8-12 h before the blood test.  Certain activities such as running, gym activity, etc. may affect the determination of several values.

The patient should take the blood sample without having taken any medication (unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor).

  • How quickly do you receive the reports?

The majority of results are ready on the same day (99% of routine examinations are ready on the same day) it is possible to request urgent examinations with a report by 12 noon.

If exams with a production time of more than 4 working days are requested, the report can be divided into two parts, a first part immediately available and a second part for long delivery exams. In this case, the client will be given two collection dates. It will, however, be possible to collect both files after the second delivery date has elapsed, and it is possible to obtain a partial printout of the report, with the results ready at that time. No results are given over the phone.

  • When is it possible to collect the reports

Reports can be picked up on laboratory opening days from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. At other times by appointment.
